The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lap takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Oneil tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Oneil does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Oneil connects with a body shot.
Lap is breathing heavily.
A punch lands to the side of Lap 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Oneil fails in his attempt to clinch.
Oneil lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Oneil.
Oneil works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Lap is rocked!
Oneil lands a big right hook! Lap looks hurt but is still standing! Oneil lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Lap falls down and Oneil dives in with a huge hammer fist! Lap's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Oneil runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Finko Naikkorine (ranked 6858 p4p, 467 weight class) and Petar Popajic (ranked 6663 p4p, 465 weight class). Naikkorine comes to the cage accompanied by Mexico - The Dead Daisies. Popajic comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Slavija kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Naikkorine fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
We've been hearing reports that Naikkorine has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Naikkorine darts in looking for a takedown but Popajic gets double underhooks and turns Naikkorine into the cage.
Popajic lands with a nice body punch.
Naikkorine changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Popajic tries to avoid it but Naikkorine manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Popajic to the ground. Popajic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
