The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Glover pinned against the cage. Glover gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Foe.
Foe staying out of range there.

Glover drives through and clinches with Foe against the cage.

Foe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Glover throws a right and a left that both miss.
Glover leaves Foe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Foe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Foe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Glover tries to avoid it but Foe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Glover to the ground. Glover escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Foe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Glover sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Foe somewhat.

Uesugi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rourke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rourke wants to control from the top but Uesugi keeps moving.

Rourke content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Uesugi has locked up a guillotine! Uesugi's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Rourke is holding on here and Uesugi must be using up a lot of energy. Rourke has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Uesugi gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
