The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski stuffs the takedown attempt from Holloway. Holloway gets slowly back to his feet.

Holloway fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kowalski, pushing him back against the cage.
Holloway jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kowalski walks away with a smile on his face. Holloway gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kowalski defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Holloway.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dale Holloway. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kowalski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Holloway to the mat! Holloway manages to get full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Holloway has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kowalski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kowalski has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Holloway to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kowalski is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Holloway pulls down on the head and he's put Kowalski to sleep! This one is all over!

Donde stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Donde wants it to stay on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Diaz is squirming around, avoiding Donde's attempts to control the action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Diaz is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Donde can't fight it off and eventually Diaz manages to take the fight to the floor. Donde looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diaz is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Donde has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Diaz is looking to defend but Donde has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Diaz! Donde pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Diaz taps out and this one is all over!

After the fight, Raymond Donde was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
