The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov misses the shot to the body.
Petrov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Fuchs closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Petrov's guard.

Petrov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fuchs. Fuchs circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Petrov circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Fuchs to the canvas! Fuchs doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Petrov keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Barbarian feints a jab promting Russia to slip. Barbarian then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Russia slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Russia tries to clinch there but Barbarian circles away.

Barbarian misses with an uppercut. Russia saw that one coming.
Russia slips under a jab.
Russia tries to counter with a takedown but Barbarian is quick to defend against it.
Russia definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

It seemed like Barbarian was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Barbarian has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Beornegar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Newgate to the mat! Newgate manages to get full guard.
Beornegar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Newgate's guard.
Newgate is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at MMA Dojo (Top Gym in Tokyo*) , so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Beornegar turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Newgate off and cradles Beornegar's limp body as Newgate celebrates with his corner.
