The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Atkinson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mann wants to clinch up but Atkinson keeps it at a distance.

Atkinson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Atkinson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Atkinson.
Mann has Atkinson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Atkinson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Mann is trying to break free.

Atkinson throws a head punch that misses.
Atkinson throws a punch but it's blocked by Mann.
Mann jumps guard but Atkinson stands there with Mann around his waist. Mann gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mann manages to break the clinch.

Mann feints and as Atkinson raises his hands in defense, Mann changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Atkinson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mann dives into side control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Atkinson struggling a bit here.

Atkinson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mann is controlling him well.
Atkinson tries to bench press Mann off him but Mann keeps the position.
Atkinson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Mann.
Mann tries to advance to mount but can't.

Mann working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Mann thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Atkinson can't do much from the bottom here.

Mann scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Atkinson is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Mann can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Columbus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Man manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Columbus fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Man checks it well.
Man doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
A jab from Man misses.
Columbus misses with a combination
and Man cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Columbus throws a sloppy head kick
and Man counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Man misses with an uppercut.
Columbus half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Man keeps the fight on the outside.
Man looks like he wants to counter punch here.

and Man counters with a straight right hand.

Man might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

letting Man counter with a right hand.
Man connects with a nice looking jab.
Man bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Columbus's head.
Man lands a nice shot that snaps Columbus's head back.

Columbus is rocked!

Chris Columbus's cut is getting worse.
Man circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Columbus tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Man wins by KO!
