The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coretto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rose, pushing him back against the cage.

Coretto turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Coretto manages to end up in side control.
Rose is looking for a sweep.
Rose wants to control but Coretto postures up.

Rose jumps guard.
Coretto throws a strike but Rose rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kill shoots in for a takedown but Frki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Frki throws out a counter right but Kill avoids it with no problem.
A slow jab from Kill misses its intended target.
Kill wants to clinch.

Kill tries to keep at a distance but Frki has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kill is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Frki to keep the fight standing.
Kill tries to break free but Frki pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kill wants to break free but Frki has control.
Frki blocks a body shot from Kill.
Frki wants a takedown.

Frki gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kill regains guard.

Kill is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Frki defends well.

Frki drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kill looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kill looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kill!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frki tries to improve position but can't.
Kill wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frki keeps working.
Frki tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kill wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Kill is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kill in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frki makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Frki.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kill working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Frki's head.
Frki wants to stand and escape but Kill is having none of it.
Kill wants to control from the top but Frki keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Frki dives in and grabs Kill's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kill pushes down on Frki's head and hops out.
Kill is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Frki.

It looks like Bill Kill has been cut.
Kill moves to clinch but Frki breaks away
and Frki counters with a big right hand! Oh Kill is in trouble here! Frki follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). San Frki!
