The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rothstein thuds a left hand into Gracie's body.
Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rothstein is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Rothstein circles away and we're back to standing.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Rothstein manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rothstein manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gracie has hold of Rothstein's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rothstein tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Rothstein screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rothstein, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ricardo Aronna.
