Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorgens Vergys!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oke Jaron!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaron fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vergys darts in trying to clinch

and Jaron counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jaron prevents Vergys from standing back up.
Jaron keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Jaron wants to work for an arm triangle but Vergys is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Vergys tries to roll over but Jaron keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vergys wants to control but Jaron is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jaron working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Vergys trying to control but Jaron postures up.

Jaron is looking for a kimura but Vergys is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jaron to get the leverage.
Jaron tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vergys knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Vergys is trying to stand back up but Jaron is controlling him
Jaron really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vergys. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jaron with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vergys tries to close the distance and clinch but Jaron swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jaron shoots in for a takedown but Vergys shows good takedown defense.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jaron is defended easily by Vergys.
Jorgens Vergys has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oke Jaron.
Jaron throws a right and a left that both miss.
Vergys plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jaron looks winded!
Good leg kick by Jaron there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Vergys lands a big head kick that sends Jaron tumbling to the mat! Vergys takes a step backwards and waves Jaron back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Jaron is rocked!
Vergys plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Jaron swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Jaron face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
