I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Savage Goon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Goon throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting West counter with a right hand.
Good exchange - West coming out on top.
West looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Goon chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before West can pounce on him.
Goon takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
West fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
West fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Goon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

West sends Goon crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! West is motioning to the referee to let Goon up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

West moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Goon is still on wobbly legs! Can West finish him?
Goon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
DeShawn West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goon throws a lazy uppercut
and West counters with a big left hand that crumples Goon! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

In his post fight interview, DeShawn West started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
