The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Morrisson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Pentangelli tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Morrisson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Pentangelli has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Morrisson after a bit of a struggle.
Pentangelli wants to take the fight to the mat but Morrisson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Paul Morrisson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lorenzo Pentangelli.
Pentangelli goes for a takedown attempt but Morrisson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Pentangelli manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Morrisson on his heels. He'll look to pass Morrisson's guard now, I'm sure.

Morrisson pushes Pentangelli away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pentangelli gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Pentangelli is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Morrisson is trying to escape and Pentangelli transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Morrisson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Pentangelli! Very nice indeed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pipi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Smith on his heels. He'll look to pass Smith's guard now, I'm sure.

Pipi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pipi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pipi has gone for a leg lock! Smith slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pipi's guard.


Pipi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Smith stays in close to Pipi's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Pipi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smith defends well.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pipi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Pipi's legs - danger averted.
Smith is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Let's hope that Smith has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jordan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hooker walks away with a smile on his face. Jordan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Hooker counters with a series of strikes. Jordan will be more careful next time no doubt.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joseph Jantan.

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fapple walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Fapple moves out of range as Haba strikes.
Fapple was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Haba digs a good body shot into Fapple's ribs.
Fapple showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Haba.

Haba clinches with his opponent.
Haba misses with a short punch on the inside.
Haba can't find room to land a body shot as Fapple controls the action.
Fapple blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Haba working aggressively here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fapple has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Fapple can't break the clinch.
A short uppercut from Haba.
Haba presses Fapple against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Fapple manages to break the clinch.
Haba misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fapple.

Haba lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Haba looks to clinch
letting Fapple counter with a right hand.

It looks like Phillip Haba has been cut.
Haba lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fapple at a distance.
Haba ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
We've been informed that Haba has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Phillip Haba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Haba does it's job there.
Haba misses with a few strikes there.
Haba connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Haba misses with a looping left.
Haba catches Fapple with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Haba throws an off balance right hand
and Fapple cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Haba is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fapple throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Haba is still on wobbly legs! Can Fapple finish him?
Fapple throws a pinpoint strike between Haba's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Haba crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Fapple scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Quincy Fapple!
A very excited looking Quincy Fapple made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Robinson shoots and misses

and Larsson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Robinson's guard.

Robinson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Larsson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Larsson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Larsson cracks Robinson with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Robinson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Larsson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robinson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Larsson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Robinson looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Larsson is defending well. Robinson quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Larsson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Robinson celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
