Vonshredder comes to the cage accompanied by Nobody Speak. Vonshredder has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to move into range but Vonshredder moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Vonshredder moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Horrible takedown attempt by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Vonshredder, which made it look bad.
Smith throws a head kick but Vonshredder moves out of range.
Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vonshredder manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Smith slips a jab and a cross from Vonshredder.
Vonshredder misses with a straight right.
Smith throws a counter combo.
Jab, jab by Vonshredder - just one landing.
Smith misses with a body shot.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Smith misses with a takedown
letting Vonshredder counter with a right hand.
Smith has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Smith closes the distance looking to clinch
and Vonshredder counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick
and Vonshredder counters with a nice uppercut.
Smith tries to clinch but fails miserably

Vonshredder fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Pete Vonshredder is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smith slips under a jab.
Smith shoots and misses
and Vonshredder counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Smith thinking.
Pete Vonshredder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Smith.
Smith tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Vonshredder counters with a nice uppercut.
Smith gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Smith fails with the takedown
and Vonshredder counters with a stiff right hand.
Vonshredder is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Smith tries for a takedown but Vonshredder circles away easily
and Vonshredder counters with a nice uppercut.
Smith looks winded!
Smith throws a lazy head kick
enabling Vonshredder to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith misses with a kick to the body
and Vonshredder cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Smith is rocked!
Vonshredder cracks Smith with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Vonshredder has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smith to stand back up!
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Vonshredder finish him?
Vonshredder finds Smith's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Smith flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Vonshredder lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Smith will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pete Vonshredder!
