The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamada pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sasaki defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tamada.

Tamada gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Tamada wants to stand up but Sasaki is controlling him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sasaki holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Tamada tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Sasaki sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Sasaki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tamada is working away from the top position though.
