Possibly an early stoppage but Lannister doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Kimura has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Skallagrimsson is really squeezing tight and eventually Kimura passes out! Skallagrimsson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

McMonster closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

McMonster isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Khan stacks McMonster on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Khan!
McMonster is not content to let Khan control the position.
McMonster tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dentler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Byczkiewicz.
Byczkiewicz throws a hook but Dentler blocks it.
A countering left hand to the body from Dentler misses.

Dentler gets tackled into the cage by Byczkiewicz. Byczkiewicz maintains the clinch.
Dentler takes a shot to the head.
Byczkiewicz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Byczkiewicz is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dentler is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Byczkiewicz to the mat. Byczkiewicz regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Byczkiewicz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dentler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Byczkiewicz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dentler throws an elbow that misses. Byczkiewicz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dentler's guard. Nice move by Byczkiewicz!

Byczkiewicz is pushing down on Dentler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dentler is fighting to maintain full guard but Byczkiewicz has managed to sneak the leg through.
Byczkiewicz works his foot free and advances to mount.

Byczkiewicz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Byczkiewicz loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Dentler scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Byczkiewicz land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Byczkiewicz stands and salutes the crowd.
