The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quincy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Montana.
Montana shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Quincy pinned against the cage. Quincy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Montana gets a double leg takedown into Quincy's guard.
Montana stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quincy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Quincy can't keep his opponent in guard - Montana advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Montana is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Montoya was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Sorsa Lokki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Montoya counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lokki thinking.
Montoya scores with a hook to the body. Lokki takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Denver throws a head kick but Lidaka moves out of range.
Denver cracks a nice hook into Lidaka's ribs.
Zander Denver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Denver tests Lidaka's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lidaka shoots for a takedown but Denver saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Denver's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Denver duly obliges.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Denver engages and cracks Lidaka with a massive lead left hook - Lidaka tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Denver is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Vargas stuns Vovigton with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Vargas moves into range and connects with a jab.
Vargas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vovigton.
Vovigton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vargas as he avoids it easily.

Oooooh!!! Vargas has knocked Vovigton down with a huge combo! Vargas steps away and waves a wobbly Vovigton back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Vargas has cracked Vovigton with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Vargas lands another huge swinging hook and Vovigton tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Vovigton, before Vargas can land any more shots!
