Sauer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Takamuna throws a body punch but Sauer moves out of range.
Takamuna throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Takamuna sets himself, and Sauer steps forward looking for the clinch! Takamuna avoids it this time.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Sauer.

Sauer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Takamuna looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Takamuna wants to control but Sauer postures up.
Takamuna manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sauer's best efforts.
Sauer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Takamuna does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sauer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Takamuna haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
