The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haywood scores with a one two! Rising had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Maximus Rising has been cut.
Rising throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Haywood's waist but Haywood gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rising off to one side.
Rising keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Haywood gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rising stands and throws Haywood's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Haywood's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Rising is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Haywood has escaped the position, nice work there.

Haywood has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rising is really squeezing tight and eventually Haywood passes out!
