The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horn tries to bum rush Buckeye with a series of wild strikes but Buckeye uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Buckeye gets a takedown into half guard.
Ground and pound from Buckeye.
Buckeye is controlling the pace.
Buckeye throwing shots but Horn is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Horn wants to control but Buckeye passes into side.

It looks like Buckeye might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Buckeye looks up at the clock and then as Horn takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Buckeye smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Buckeye has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Buckeye is working to tighten his grip on Horn's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Horn has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Buckeye is really squeezing tight and eventually Horn passes out! Buckeye breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

In his post fight interview, Jab Buckeye started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Francone swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Willwhoopu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A combination from Francone does no damage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Francone enables Willwhoopu to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Francone manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Willwhoopu dives in and grabs Francone's left leg, looking for a takedown. Francone pushes down on Willwhoopu's head and hops out.

Francone wants to get back to striking at distance but Willwhoopu won't allow it.

Willwhoopu jumps guard and drags Francone to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Willwhoopu is looking to cinch up a triangle. Francone throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Willwhoopu's body to avoid the submission. Willwhoopu has instead reached around Francone's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Willwhoopu arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Strawberry tries to pull guard but Badmean forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Strawberry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Badmean.

Strawberry is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
