Don tries to clinch up but Valdez circles away and keeps his distance.

Valdez thows a body kick. Don tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Don tries to close the distance and clinch but Valdez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Don crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Valdez - the referee stops the clock and Don gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Valdez. Don manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Don lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Don throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Valdez sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Don darts in looking for a takedown but Valdez gets double underhooks and turns Don into the cage.

Don lands a big shot there that rocks Valdez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Valdez's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Don lands a heavy elbow.
Don is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Valdez can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Valdez is still in real trouble! Can Don finish him?
Don loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Valdez scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Don land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Don stands and salutes the crowd.

After the fight, Marshal Mayhem was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
