Hopkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Smith throws out a counter right but Hopkins avoids it with no problem.
Hopkins slips a jab and a cross from Smith.
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Smith throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Hopkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Hopkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hopkins takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
Hopkins takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sloppy strikes from Smith. Those never looked like landing.
Hopkins blocks a leg kick.
Smith connects with a single shot there.
Hopkins tries to clinch up.
Smith comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Hopkins fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hopkins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Smith lands a nice shot to the body.

Oooooh!!! Smith has knocked Hopkins down with a huge combo! Smith steps away and waves a wobbly Hopkins back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith cracks Hopkins's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Hopkins slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Smith can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Grigsby lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Volkov circles away quickly and effectively.

Grigsby knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Volkov on the ground.
Volkov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Grigsby's guard.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Aloobop screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Portman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dillman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Portman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Portman lands in his opponent's guard.
Portman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Portman is pushing down on Dillman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dillman is fighting to maintain full guard but Portman has managed to sneak the leg through.
