The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Divac shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Wallus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Divac shoots in for a double leg but Wallus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Divac stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wallus.
Divac's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Mark Wallus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Wallus! Divac is out on his feet! Wallus rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Divac is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Divac is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waddy closes the distance and clinches up with Elite, looking for a takedown. Waddy pushes Elite against the cage but Elite circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Elite leaves Waddy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A combination from Elite does no damage.
Elite swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Elite throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Waddy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Elite sprawls well initially but Waddy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Waddy working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Waddy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Waddy is pressing down on Elite's thigh, looking to free his foot. Elite is holding on for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Elite can do anything to dispel that myth.

Waddy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Elite doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Waddy.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Waddy connects with a nice short shot to Elite's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Waddy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Elite uses from the top position.
Elite throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Waddy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Waddy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Elite's guard.
Waddy passes Elite's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Elite really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Waddy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
