Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rikuto Ryuunosuke (ranked 1281 p4p, 1278 weight class) and Charles Manson (ranked 164 p4p, 163 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ryuunosuke might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to You Wa Shock. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

and Manson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Rikuto Ryuunosuke has been cut.
Manson throws a nice looking combination but Ryuunosuke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Manson throws a punch but it's blocked by Ryuunosuke.
Manson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Ryuunosuke jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Manson walks away with a smile on his face. Ryuunosuke gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Manson tries to bum rush Ryuunosuke with a series of wild strikes but Ryuunosuke uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rikuto Ryuunosuke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Manson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ryuunosuke looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Manson lands a glancing blow to the side of Ryuunosuke's head.

Ryuunosuke has closed the distance and engaged Manson in a clinch.
Ryuunosuke blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Ryuunosuke jumps guard and drags Manson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Ryuunosuke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Manson has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Ryōzanpaku Dojo. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Manson has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Ryuunosuke! Can he survive? No! He's out! Manson gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
