Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tanaka Matsuda (ranked 238 p4p, 469 weight class) and Winston Todd (ranked 31 p4p, 62 weight class). Matsuda comes to the cage accompanied by Avenged Sevenfold - Hail to the King. Todd has chosen Piano Man as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Matsuda drops down looking for a counter takedown but Todd sprawls and moves away.

Todd walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Matsuda checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Todd leaves Matsuda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Todd lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tanaka Matsuda's cut is getting worse.
Todd dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Matsuda. That did some damage!

Todd connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

After the fight, Winston Todd was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
