Nelson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Boytsov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pitt sprawls well initially but Boytsov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Boytsov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pitt is just riding it out for now. Boytsov eventually gives up the hold.

Boytsov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pitt sees it coming and defends easily.
Pitt is looking to improve his position.
Boytsov performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Boytsov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Pitt is staying active underneath Boytsov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Pitt turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Boytsov off and cradles Pitt's limp body as Boytsov celebrates with his corner.

Core goes for a double leg but Spindley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Spindley continues to drive forward.

Spindley feints a jab promting Core to slip. Spindley then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Core slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
