The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pikachu doesn't manage to clinch there - Raga circles away.
Pikachu fails with a takedown attempt.

Pikachu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pikachu tries for a kimura but Raga is defending well.

Pikachu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Raga, who protects the arm well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pikachu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Raga is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Raga wants to control but Pikachu postures up.

Raga is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pikachu is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Raga tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pikachu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Pikachu tries to move into full mount but can't pass Raga's legs.

Pikachu is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Raga has escaped the position, nice work there.

Pikachu is trying to get an arm triangle but Raga is defending well.
Raga is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pikachu asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Raga tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Raga manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pikachu's guard. Nice work there by Raga.

Pikachu has his foot on Raga's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Raga works his way back into a safe position though.

Our spies down at at EFC Gym inform us that Pikachu has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Raga stands and steps away. Pikachu gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Pikachu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Raga to the mat! Raga manages to get full guard.
Raga can't keep his opponent in guard - Pikachu advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Raga is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at JAG Battle Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Raga is looking for a sweep. Pikachu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Pikachu is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Raga to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Raga shrugs it off.

Pikachu is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Raga is surviving well by controlling Pikachu's body position as best he can.

Raga is staying active underneath Pikachu, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bina Raga will probably get the nod.

Raga lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Pikachu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pikachu looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

No joy there for Raga, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
