The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JJ throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Llamo tries to counter by closing the distance.
Some bone on bone action there as Llamo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
JJ avoids the head kick by Llamo.
JJ tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Llamo manages to circle out of the way.

JJ shoots in and gets a takedown into Llamo's guard.
Llamo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
JJ could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
JJ wants to pass the guard but Llamo is keeping the position.
Llamo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
JJ has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
JJ stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Llamo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Llamo is pulling down on JJ's head to control his posture.
Llamo keeping moving, preventing JJ from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

JJ is fighting to break Llamo's control of his arms but Llamo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

JJ content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Llamo has locked up a guillotine! Llamo's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? JJ is holding on here and Llamo must be using up a lot of energy. JJ has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Llamo gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

GG is looking to land body kicks.
GG throws a series of punches but CC moves out of range.
CC wants to clinch up but GG keeps it at a distance.
GG misses with a takedown attempt - CC sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
GG throws a looping overhand right but CC ducks down to avoid it.

GG fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with CC, pushing him back against the cage.
CC is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

GG breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
GG throws a head kick but CC moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
GG throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around CC's waist but CC gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing GG off to one side.
GG avoids the head kick by CC.

GG darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
GG is looking to stall here but CC recovers full guard.

CC is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
