Higginsworth tries to land a front kick but Dillon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Dillon scores with a crisp jab that stopped Higginsworth in his tracks.

Dillon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dillon lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Higginsworth has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Higginsworth and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Dillon throws a lazy right hand but Higginsworth sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Dillon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Higginsworth kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dillon swings around for an armbar but Higginsworth sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dillon's guard.

Dillon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dillon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Higginsworth is just riding it out for now. Dillon eventually gives up the hold.
Dillon seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dillon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dillon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Higginsworth does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Dillon tries to pass to full mount but Higginsworth defends it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dillon connects with a nice short shot to Higginsworth's temple.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dillon looks to land a strike but Higginsworth avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Dillon postures up in Higginsworth's guard and throws a big left but Higginsworth blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dillon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Higginsworth is trying to defend but Dillon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Dillon is trying to control. Higginsworth wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Dillon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Higginsworth's head.
Dillon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Higginsworth won't allow Dillon to pass to mount.
Dillon is keen to just control but Higginsworth is a slippery customer.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
