Pymus lands a nice hook to Pasternak's body. Pasternak takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Pymus fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pasternak looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Good standup being displayed there by Pymus as he connects with a hook.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pasternak has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Pymus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nicodimus Scarfo (ranked 5210 p4p, 5054 weight class) and Blue Knight (ranked 577 p4p, 574 weight class). Nicodimus Scarfo had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Nicodimus Scarfo had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Knight shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Scarfo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Scarfo looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Knight is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Krahe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Krahe wants it to stay on the feet.

Krahe content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Aita has locked up a guillotine! Aita's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Krahe is holding on here and Aita must be using up a lot of energy. Krahe has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Aita gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zig Zig.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyler Bevins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jordan McKenzie!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKenzie dives in for a single leg takedown but Bevins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Bevins connects with a good right hand that stumbles McKenzie. McKenzie circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bevins smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Bevins stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
McKenzie with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bevins to score with a decent uppercut.
A left lands for Bevins.
Bevins lands a slapping body shot.
McKenzie's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bevins connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McKenzie scrambles back to his feet.
McKenzie closes the distance and clinches up with Bevins, looking for a takedown. McKenzie pushes Bevins against the cage but Bevins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McKenzie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McKenzie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tyler Bevins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan McKenzie.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bevins ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
McKenzie fails to land the takedown.
Bevins catches McKenzie with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bevins seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Bevins cracks McKenzie with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! McKenzie falls to his knees and Bevins doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Richardson closes the distance and clinches.
Nickle misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Richardson lands with a light punch inside.
Richardson lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Richardson manages to break the clinch.
Nickle shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Richardson defends it nicely.
Nickle takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Richardson ducks under a wild hook from Nickle.
Richardson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nickle's head.
Richardson connects with a single shot there.
Nickle avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nickle.
Richardson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Nickle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Nickle throws an elbow that misses. Richardson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nickle's guard. Nice move by Richardson!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Richardson tries to free his leg and advance position but Nickle is retaining full guard.

Nickle is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Nickle has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Richardson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nickle.

Nickle tries to bench press Richardson off him but Richardson keeps the position.
Nickle is still trying to improve position.
The strikes coming from Richardson are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Nickle seems a little lost for a moment, as Richardson dominates the positioning.

Richardson stands up and beckons Nickle to his feet.
Nickle misses with an uppercut. Richardson saw that one coming.
Nickle on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nickle moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nickle swings for the body but Richardson moves out of range.
Richardson digs a good hook to Nickle's body.
Richardson avoids the body shot from Nickle.

Nickle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Richardson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Richardson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nickle keeps working.

Richardson seems to be working for a kimura but Nickle defends the submission attempt.
Nickle is looking to improve his position.

Richardson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nickle dives in and grabs Richardson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Richardson pushes down on Nickle's head and hops out.
