Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Frost (ranked 24042 p4p, 4508 weight class) and Rich Voss (ranked 701 p4p, 534 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Frost might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sean O'Malley. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Frost is defended easily by Voss.
Voss with the counter takedown but Frost avoids it easily.

Voss feints and as Frost raises his hands in defense, Voss changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Frost is wriggling around but Voss manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Voss passes to side control.
Voss is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Frost will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Voss might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Voss in side control, throwing shots but Frost defends.

Frost knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Voss on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Frost is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Hotrod Express MMA Training that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Frost is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Voss sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Voss lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Voss lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Voss has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Voss swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Frost is now in Voss's guard. A big mistake from Voss there, giving up the dominant position!

Frost has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Let's hope that Voss has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Voss bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Frost's guard.

Voss is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A very excited looking Salomon Mukunzi rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Hussein gets control of Finlay's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hussein will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hussein seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hussein's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Well Hussein has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
