The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brown pinned against the cage. Brown gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Brown feints and as Yamamoto raises his hands in defense, Brown changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Yamamoto is retaining full guard.
