Velez sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Daniels throws a head kick that Velez semi-blocks.
It looks like Esmael Velez has been cut.
Daniels fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Velez gets caught napping as Daniels dives in and scores a takedown. Velez manages to retain guard.
Daniels is pushing down on Velez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Velez is fighting to maintain full guard but Daniels has managed to sneak the leg through.
Velez has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Las Vegas. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Baldwin Yong (ranked 6285 p4p, 6660 weight class) and Christo Olisilveira (ranked 564 p4p, 572 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Yong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Galway Girl. Olisilveira is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jorge & Mateus - Troca. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
