The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Epolito defending well as Montgomery loads up on a big left hand.
Epolito moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Xander Montgomery has been cut.
Epolito fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Montgomery on the side of the head.
Montgomery has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Tez’s Stand N Bang ! in the buildup to the fight.
Epolito lands with a nice combination. Montgomery backs away looking to recover.
Epolito fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Epolito's coach down at Acme Island Savages was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Epolito's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Anthony Epolito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Epolito lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Montgomery backs up against the cage.
Epolito scores with a hook to the body. Montgomery takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Epolito bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Montgomery's head backwards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Montgomery takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Epolito fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Montgomery to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Montgomery looks to clinch but Epolito throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Montgomery taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Anthony Epolito decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Nightmarcher stuffs the takedown attempt from Bonon. Bonon gets slowly back to his feet.

Bonon shoots for a double leg takedown but Nightmarcher sprawls well. He's pushed Bonon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Car drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Home right on the button. Home goes down! Car follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Car gets the win via TKO!

Del Valle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Del Valle is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Diaz has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Del Valle is looking to defend but Diaz has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Del Valle ! Diaz pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Del Valle taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Noel Diaz!
Noel Diaz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
