The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsubekov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barnett tries to avoid it but Tsubekov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barnett to the ground. Barnett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Barnett tries to bum rush Tsubekov with a series of wild strikes but Tsubekov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Chong has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Johnson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Chong is looking to control Johnson's arms but Johnson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Chong has his back to the cage.

Kamogawa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Chavaski blocks a jab.
Chavaski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Chavaski counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chavaski works his way into side control.

Chavaski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Dulo tries to improve position but can't.
Dulo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Chavaski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dulo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kawiwasulu drops Diesel with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Diesel looks back up at him and smiles so Kawiwasulu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Schlunckr Diesel has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kawiwasulu takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Diesel wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kawiwasulu's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Diesel connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kawiwasulu scrambles back to his feet.

Diesel is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Diesel is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

and Kawiwasulu scores with a counter punch that sends Diesel to the canvas! Kawiwasulu smells blood - he's punishing Diesel with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Diesel has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
