The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Victors darts in and clinches Smif up against the cage.

Victors is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Smif screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Wellstone.
Wellstone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Funny is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Wellstone moves into range and clinches up with Funny.
Wellstone unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Funny goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wellstone prevents it.
Wellstone lands a knee to the body.
Wellstone lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Doug Funny has been cut.
Funny looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Funny is trying to trip Wellstone. He has hold of a leg but Wellstone is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Funny persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Wellstone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Funny manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Funny can do anything to dispel that myth.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Funny is on top in guard.

Wellstone has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wellstone lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Wellstone is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Simply The Best that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Funny pulls Wellstone in close to his closed guard and prevents Wellstone from doing any damage or advancing position.
Wellstone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Funny is trying to control the position but Wellstone postures up.
Wellstone passes Funny's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Funny keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Funny is not content to let Wellstone control the position.
Wellstone stalling away here and it's allowed Funny to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Funny is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Wellstone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Funny swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wellstone looking to sit in guard and control but Funny gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Funny won't allow Wellstone to sweep him here.
Funny lands a couple of decent looking shots.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Wellstone tries to clinch but Funny is having none of it.
Funny drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Wellstone defends it well.
Wellstone throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Funny.
Wellstone lands a head kick. Funny smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Wellstone has his feet on Funny's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Funny crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wellstone - the referee stops the clock and Funny gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wellstone. Funny manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Funny is breathing heavily.

Wellstone lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Wellstone scores with a head kick.
Funny steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wellstone. That one must have hurt.
Wellstone darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Funny is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ike Wellstone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wellstone's jab looks to have found its range, popping Funny under the eye.
Funny is rocked!
That has opened up Doug Funny's cut even more.
Wellstone lands a brutal head kick. Funny looks out on his feet and Wellstone throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Ike Wellstone!

After winning the bout, Ike Wellstone thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
