The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smiff shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Li's guard.
Smiff distracts Li with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Li avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Smiff pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Li is keeping the position for now.
Smiff is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Smiff trying to control but Li is working from the bottom.
Li will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Smiff's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Li is holding on here and Smiff must be using up a lot of energy. Li has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Smiff gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
