The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pietrzykowski stalks Thompson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thompson 's face. Thompson staggers backwards, shaken.

Thompson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pietrzykowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thompson . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pietrzykowski wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Thompson 's hips, looking to push off. But Thompson grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Pietrzykowski screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
