The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Max throws a combination. Rubberboot tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

and Rubberboot counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Max thinking.
Max looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Max lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Max bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

A looping hook to the body misses from Max. Rubberboot does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rubberboot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Max counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Max connects with a body shot.
Max connects with a right hand. Rubberboot shakes it off.
Max feints and then cracks Rubberboot's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rubberboot down.
Scott Max is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Max lands a nice shot to the body.
Max ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Max lands a nice hook to Rubberboot's body. Rubberboot takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Max lands with a nice combination. Rubberboot backs away looking to recover.

Max ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Max closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Max fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Max misses with a series of wild punches.
Max digs a good body shot into Rubberboot's ribs.
