Penn shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Penn throws a lazy right hand but Blake sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Blake seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

and Blake counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Blake has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lachmann tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dawg defends well and Lachmann ends up having to push Dawg into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
We've been informed that Lachmann has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Lachmann takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lachmann tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Ruiha uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Scott.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Scott has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
