The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott shoots in looking for a takedown. Miz tries to sprawl out of it but Scott keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Miz paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jeremy Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miz catches Scott with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Miz walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Scott drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Miz swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Scott's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Fits Miz made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Jeremy, I challenge you to a fight on that fight night card. Don't be a pussy, take the short notice fight and lets do it.'.
The defeated Jeremy Scott had this to say: 'Losses suck, I came back too early I want to run this one back because we each have a win over the other. After I beat Fitz I want the rubber match against the champ'.
