Vippus's coach down at Hotrod Express MMA Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vippus's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Vippus shoots for a double leg takedown but Says sprawls well. He's pushed Vippus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Says fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Says's jab looks to have found its range, popping Vippus under the eye.

Shaw feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jax uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Jax slaps away a takedown attempt from Wie, before circling back to the center of the mat.
It looked like Jax was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Wie.
Jax fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wie manages to avoid it.
Jax misses with the combination.

Wie fails to land the takedown.

Wie should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Jax clobbers Wie with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
We've been told by Jax's head coaches at Deep waters that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jax looks to land a combination but Wie avoids it well.
Jax swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wie appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Wie shoots in looking for a takedown. Jax tries to sprawl out of it but Wie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jax manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Randy Jax has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hua Wie.

Jax batters Wie with a massive right followed by a huge left! Wie is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Jax lands a final crushing right hand to drop Wie to the mat with a gruesome thud! Jax is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Shewmaker gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Luciano points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Shewmaker wakes up just in time to hear Luciano thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
