The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stumpf bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stumpf is looking to take a break and control but DoubleU is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manny Luciano (ranked 1917 p4p, 1309 weight class) and Seamus Murphy (ranked 113 p4p, 73 weight class). Murphy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Molly Malone- The Dubliners kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

It looks like Seamus Murphy has been cut.
Luciano stalks Murphy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Murphy's face. Murphy staggers backwards, shaken.

Green drops down looking for an ankle pick but Skinner pulls his leg out and moves away.
Green changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skinner tries to avoid it but Green manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skinner to the ground. Skinner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Green is trying to drag Skinner to the mat but Skinner just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Skinner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Green shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Skinner sprawls well. Skinner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Green gets slowly back to his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Leonov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice uppercut lands for Leonov. That snapped Veainu's head back.

and Veainu rattles Leonov with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Leonov tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Veainu dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Leonov stiff and motionless on the mat!
