Uchiha rushes Sanosuke with punches - Sanosuke moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Sanosuke goes down! Uchiha follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Chang shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bird's guard.

Oh but Bird is tightening it up a little... Chang has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Chang reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Chang taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bird!

and Lygre counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Green thinking.
Green wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Lygre moves out of range as Green strikes.
It seemed like Lygre was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Green closes the distance and clinches.
Green scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Green lands a hook that snaps the head of Lygre backwards.
Lygre can't break the clinch.
Green stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Green lands a left hand.
Lygre tries to break the clinch but Green is controlling the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Meridius feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Chikage sprawling to the canvas! Chikage rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Meridius finish him?!
Meridius drops Chikage with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Chikage! Meridius dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Enormis circles away.
Enormis drops down looking for a counter takedown but Caro sprawls and moves away.
Caro misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Enormis went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Caro is defended easily by Enormis.

Enormis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
