The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gaethje on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Gaethje throws a jab but it's blocked by Frost.
Gaethje lands with a right hand.
It looks like Jack Frost has been cut.
Gaethje slips under a jab from Frost.
Gaethje throws a big shot that misses.
Gaethje uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Frost.
Frost on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Fuhn has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Short to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Fuhn is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Short pulls down on the head and he's put Fuhn to sleep! This one is all over!

Trollslayer postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Vieira on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Vieira doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Ottaa Koppia!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shalashaska slips under a jab from Koppia.
Shalashaska on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Shalashaska does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ottaa Koppia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shalashaska uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Koppia.
Shalashaska was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Koppia has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shalashaska throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Koppia counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Koppia swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A big right from Koppia misses.
Koppia takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Shalashaska swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Koppia! But no joy.

and Shalashaska counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Shalashaska throws a right hand that Koppia ducks under and follows up with a left that Koppia also avoids with ease.
Shalashaska has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Koppia is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Shalashaska throws a body punch but Koppia moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Koppia lands a slapping body shot.
Koppia connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Shalashaska misses with a leg kick

and Koppia counters with a nice right hand that sends Shalashaska toppling to the canvas! Shalashaska scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Koppia finish him?!
Shalashaska is rocked!
Shalashaska doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Oh Shalashaska is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shalashaska is breathing heavily.
Koppia ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Koppia has cracked Shalashaska with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Koppia lands another huge swinging hook and Shalashaska tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Shalashaska, before Koppia can land any more shots!

An out of breath Ottaa Koppia thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
