Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lyke Tuytuhlz (ranked 1549 p4p, 1656 weight class) and Derrick Bradley (ranked 229 p4p, 248 weight class). Tuytuhlz comes to the cage accompanied by Nas - N.Y. State of Mind. Bradley has chosen Sudbury Saturday Night as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Anwar Rinda!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rinda misses with a hook.
Takashi feinted with a counter takedown.
Rinda misses with an uppercut

and Takashi counters by clinching up.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rinda.

Takashi has hold of one of Rinda's legs. Rinda is fighting the takedown attempt but Takashi gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Takashi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rinda looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Takashi postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rinda has an active guard here but Takashi has managed to pass into half guard.

Takashi is trying to work for a kimura but Rinda is defending well.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Takashi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Takashi slows the pace down in half guard.
Takashi working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Rinda's thigh. Rinda counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Rinda looking for a guillotine here but Takashi defends easily.
Rinda wants to improve his position but instead Takashi has moved into half guard.

Takashi wants to free his trapped foot but Rinda is holding on for dear life with his legs.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Takashi is taking a breather. Rinda says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Rinda throws an overhand right that lands on Takashi's shoulder, as Takashi tries to avoid the shot.

Rinda gets tackled into the cage by Takashi. Takashi maintains the clinch.
Takashi stalling the fight.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Rinda can't find room to land a body shot as Takashi controls the action.
Rinda swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Rinda swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Rinda misses with a punch on the inside.
Still in the clinch, Takashi scores with a nice short uppercut.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rinda throws a punch but it's blocked by Takashi.
A right handed body shot lands from Rinda.

Takashi gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Rinda looking to control but Takashi passes into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kazuo Takashi dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Rinda tries to bum rush Takashi with a series of wild strikes but Takashi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Takashi is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Rinda.
Rinda throws a jab but it's blocked by Takashi.
Rinda connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Rinda throws a hook to the side of Takashi's head but Takashi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Takashi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
A cross from Rinda lands.
Rinda stuffs the takedown attempt from Takashi. Takashi gets slowly back to his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rinda, as that shot connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rinda lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Takashi gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Takashi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rinda quickly recovers to half guard.
Takashi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rinda does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Takashi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rinda knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kazuo Takashi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Takashi is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Takashi is looking to advance position but Rinda won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Takashi clinches up with Rinda and pushes him back against the cage.
Rinda misses with some punches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Takashi takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Takashi slows down the pace here.
Takashi seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Rinda stops a takedown attempt from Takashi.
Takashi wants to stall.
Rinda throws a head punch that misses.
Takashi stalling.

Takashi wants the takedown. Rinda is fighting it off but Takashi persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rinda's guard against the cage.
Takashi won't allow Rinda to sweep him here.
Takashi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Takashi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rinda can do to turn this around?
Rinda can't keep his opponent in guard - Takashi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Takashi stalling.

Rinda trying to control here.
Takashi is looking to advance position but Rinda won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kazuo Takashi will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Takashi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rinda.
Takashi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rinda enables Takashi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rinda manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Takashi controlling from the top position.

Rinda looking for a triangle here. Takashi is fighting it but it looks tight! Rinda pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Takashi is tapping out - this one is all over!
