Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sebastian Burger!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Burger.
A lazy left from Thomas finds it's target.
Thomas sizes up Burger with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Thomas cracks Burger with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Burger is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Burger is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
Burger looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Burger.
Thomas defending well as Burger loads up on a big left hand.
Burger tries a head kick but it misses.
Burger walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Thomas! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Braddock misses with a jab, cross combination.
Durant appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Braddock throws a sloppy body shot
letting Durant counter with a right hand.
It looks like James Braddock has been cut.

and Durant counters with a body kick that stops Braddock in his tracks momentarily.
Durant lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Braddock definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

and Durant counters with a nice body kick.
James Braddock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Durant ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Braddock is breathing heavily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Durant delivers a nice body kick.
Durant shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Braddock eats them both and turns towards Durant to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Braddock is rocked!
Durant closes the distance and catches Braddock with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Braddock is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Braddock is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Braddock is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Durant takes it!

Crusader takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Shewmaker scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Shewmaker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Crusader connects with a nice looking jab.
Shewmaker looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Shewmaker lands a head kick that bluckles Crusader and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Shewmaker no doubt looking to push for a finish!
Crusader tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Shewmaker scores with a head kick. Crusader tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Crusader throws a hook but Shewmaker blocks it.
Sloppy strikes from Shewmaker. Those never looked like landing.
Crusader wants to counter the offense by Shewmaker and move into the clinch position.
Crusader takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Crusader misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Crusader tries to clinch there but Shewmaker circles away.
Crusader with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shewmaker to score with a decent uppercut.
Shewmaker throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Crusader lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shewmaker circles away quickly and effectively.
Shewmaker scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Shewmaker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
As Shewmaker backs off Crusader throws a huge counter combo but Shewmaker manages to avoid it all.

Shewmaker clips Crusader with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Crusader a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
Crusader is rocked!

Shewmaker lands a head kick that bluckles Crusader and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! This has been an exciting period of action!
Crusader throws a series of punches but Shewmaker moves out of range.
Crusader seems to have recovered his senses.
Shewmaker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shewmaker.
Crusader tries to bum rush Shewmaker with a series of wild strikes but Shewmaker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shewmaker lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Shewmaker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Shewmaker scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Crusader beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Shewmaker - that will leave a mark!
Crusader misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shewmaker.
Crusader takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Some wild striking there from Shewmaker.
Shewmaker lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Shewmaker throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Shewmaker lands with a kick to the temple. Crusader shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Shewmaker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crusader tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Crusader takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Crusader fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shewmaker manages to avoid it.
Shewmaker's jab looks to have found its range, popping Crusader under the eye.
Crusader tries to clinch up but Shewmaker circles away and keeps his distance.
Crusader fails with an attempt to clinch.
Crusader misses with a series of wild punches.
Crusader tries to clinch there but Shewmaker circles away.
Shewmaker throws a head kick but Crusader moves out of range.
Shewmaker throws a series of punches but Crusader avoids them all with ease.
Crusader misses the shot to the body.

He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Crusader 's eyes and has decided to let it go on!

Shewmaker lands a head kick that sends Crusader down! Crusader is flopping around the mat trying to get back up, leaving the referee no choice but to wave off the fight! Shewmaker is victorious!
