The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seyama throws a lazy head kick

and Hooker moves into the clinch.
Hooker jumps guard but Seyama turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Seyama is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hooker is defending well for now.
Seyama tries to pull guard but Hooker won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
The referee is keeping an eye on Seyama - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Hooker goes for a takedown attempt but Seyama pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seyama shoots in for a double leg but Hooker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Knuckles (ranked 1951 p4p, 25334 weight class) and Jertavius Jankens (ranked 65 p4p, 220 weight class). Knuckles comes to the cage accompanied by Mama said knock you out by LL COOL J. Jankens comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Come get it by- The Jankstreet boyz kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Knuckles digs a good hook to Jankens's body.

Knuckles drops Jankens with a beautiful combination! Jankens stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Knuckles is looking for the KO!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Knuckles fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jankens looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jankens is still on wobbly legs! Can Knuckles finish him?
Jankens looks winded!
Jankens switches off momentarily and Knuckles cracks him with a monster right hand! Jankens topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Knuckles dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Knuckles !

Tenacious throws a body shot but no joy.
Ling gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Xing Ling has been cut.
Tenacious misses with a lunging right hand
and Ling counters with a straight right hand.
Ling throws a hook to the side of Tenacious's head but Tenacious sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tenacious swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ling keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tenacious works Ling's body with a nice hook.
Ling gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Tenacious.
Ling throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tenacious on the side of the head.
Ling walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ling takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ling throws a jab when Tenacious was well out of range.
Tenacious cracks Ling with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ling tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Tenacious pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ling is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terry Tenacious!
After winning the bout, Terry Tenacious thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Richards throws a strike but Cockx rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Richards is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Toryiama isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Burroughs stacks Toryiama on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Burroughs!
