Diawara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Sloppy strikes from Diawara. Those never looked like landing.
Matthews is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Matthews changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diawara tries to avoid it but Matthews manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diawara to the ground. Diawara escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Diawara lands a nice hook to Matthews's body. Matthews takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Diawara connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Matthews let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Diawara is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Matthews flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Matthews is out cold! Diawara holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Baloyi comes to the ring accompanied by Telescopes. Mark Shannon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

A shot to the liver by Baloyi. Beautiful body shot.
Shannon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Baloyi sprawls well. Baloyi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shannon gets slowly back to his feet.
Baloyi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gold Samurai's Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Baloyi catches Shannon with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Mark Shannon has been cut.
Shannon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Baloyi defends well and Shannon ends up having to push Baloyi into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Baloyi throws a looping overhand right but Shannon ducks down to avoid it.
