Hadjinov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Zero's head backwards.
It looks like Sub Zero has been cut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Zero has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Zero needs to keep his hands up - Hadjinov had a free shot at his head there.
Zero fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hadjinov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zero has time to react.

Sonnen drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Sonnen seems to have locked his on tight now - Beneke screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Sonnen, as he picks up the win!

Sub shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sub was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sub wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wrestler, who protects the arm well.
Wrestler tries to bench press Sub off him but Sub keeps the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sub misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Sub is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wrestler has escaped the position, nice work there.
Wrestler is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Sub is looking to advance position but Wrestler won't allow it.

Sub is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Wrestler still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Wrestler has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Wrestler remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Sub is looking to reverse the position.

Sub swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Wrestler is now in Sub's guard. A big mistake from Sub there, giving up the dominant position!
Wrestler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Sub working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wrestler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wrestler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
