Hidal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan catches Arkinson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Khan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Arkinson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Khan eats them both and turns towards Arkinson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Ghengis Khan has been cut.

Lynar shoots in for a takedown but Barbosa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Barbosa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Barbosa digs a right hand into Lynar's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lynar's gas tank.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lynar isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Barbosa stacks Lynar on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Barbosa!
Lynar seems a little lost for a moment, as Barbosa dominates the positioning.
Barbosa is looking to take a break and control but Lynar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lynar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Barbosa wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Lynar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Barbosa wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lynar, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Barbosa goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lynar has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Barbosa but great work by Lynar.

A very excited looking Sebastion Lynar rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
The defeated Daniel Barbosa had this to say: 'Congrats to White Jr, I fought hard to be champion and will keep fighting hard to get back and get my title. Back to the gym, I’d like to fight again soon... '.
