Ace has been working on his balance at Rage Training, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Helix.

Ace throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It seemed like Helix was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Ace stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ace throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Helix.

Helix has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Helix is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ace tries to free his leg and advance position but Helix is retaining full guard.

Ace drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ace jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Ace shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Helix pinned against the cage. Helix gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Helix now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Portgas D Ace will probably get the nod.

He's out! He's out cold! Alexandria gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
