Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Kai Tokugawa (ranked 562 p4p, 1150 weight class) and Juan David Franco (ranked 86 p4p, 156 weight class). Tokugawa comes to the ring accompanied by Red Warrior. Franco has chosen Bullet For My Valentine- Tears Don't Fall as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tokugawa sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Franco throws a hook but Tokugawa avoids it easily.
A big right from Franco misses.
A little feinted left hand from Tokugawa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Juan David Franco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Tokugawa counters with a beautiful hook that drops Franco to the mat! Will Franco be able to recover his senses? The referee starts the count at 3 having sent Tokugawa to a neutral corner. 4,5,6 and Franco is up. He looks OK to continue.

It looks like Masato Kobayashi has been cut.

Kim cracks Kobayashi with a big uppercut, right up the middle and Kobayashi goes down! Oh, he's hurt! He's bigtime hurt! The referee is giving him a chance to get back to his feet - 4,5,6,7, no, he's called it off! Kobayashi wasn't going to make it and the fight is over!

Rua stuns Jones with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

McGuire cracks Takala with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Takala is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Takala is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
It looks like Tino Takala has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGuire keeps the fight on the outside.

McGuire sets himself, and Takala steps forward looking for the clinch! McGuire avoids it this time.
McGuire walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

and Takala holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Takala lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McGuire backwards.
Takala scores with an uppercut up the middle.
With the fighters up against the ropes, McGuire throws an elbow but misses.
McGuire misses with a short punch on the inside.
McGuire misses with a shot to the kidneys.
